Material IDs

You can limit a Fur asset type to a specific Material ID

  • This could allow you to optimize shell generation by limiting what triangles are included.
  • This could allow you to split your growth mesh into "sections" to be used by multiple NeoFur Components.

Ignoring Material IDs

If you don't want your fur mesh to utilize Material IDs to split shell generation, you can set the Material ID to -1. This will force all geometry to be used, regardless of Material ID.
